BackgroundAs China becomes a major arena for information applications, information ethics in China is an increasingly important area for research and discussion. According to a report on internet usage in China (http://www.internetworldstats.com/asia/cn.htm), in 2009 there were 384 million Internet users, representing 28.7% of the population, and 700 million mobile phone users. Questions have been raised by many regarding information ethics, and while there may be some negative views. There is also a constructive debate to be had, and a need for more research and debate. More links about the Chinese Information Ethics will be updated in the coming weeks. |
